I am a repeat customer. I've had good times and good results fishing for steelhead on the Coquille River. Shane is patient and informative. I recently took my extremely active 10-year-old grandson and snags, bad casts whatever the situation was Shane handled it and the boat like a true professional. And with that professionalism a 10 year old boy managed to land a 25 in 7 lb steelhead and have the memory of a lifetime. As a repeat customer I will continue to use this guide service and would very highly recommend it to anyone looking for a fishing guide.

Shane was a thoughtful knowledgeable guide. My dad and I fished a whole day on the South Fork of the Coquille in December. We caught the attached Steelhead, although it was a native. He provided homecooked breakfast buritos and his son hopped on halfway through as an additional set of hands. Had dinner with Shane and his family later that night, which was an unnecessarily kind gesture. Would highly recommend!

Just enjoyed a wonderful fishing trip hosted by Keys to the Outdoors with Shannon, the Captain and guide. This was a fantastic experience. Shannon is a most knowledgeable, personable and helpful guide. The scenery was beautiful and I even landed my first salmon with the help and guidance of both Shannon and his wonderful wife Lisa. Shannon did a great job. Well knowledgeable of all the areas. Fantastic equipment and right on top of all plans to catch fish. We didn’t limit out but caught several fish that weren’t allowed by Oregon law. Head a fantastic time with a guide that really knows what’s going on.

His boat is setup to fish in comfort and all of his equipment dialed in right. Keys to the outdoors guide service is the only company we will salmon fish with. Thanks again for the great experience!

Had a fantastic fishing trip with Shannon and three of my friends. Shannon was able to find where the fish were to make sure we all caught our limit. Very knowledgeable fisherman in all aspects. His fishing gear is good quality and well taken care of. Shannon's boat has plenty of room and comfortable. Had a great time and highly recommend "keys to the outdoors" for a Charter Boat trip.
Four of us fished with Captain Keys the other day. We were able to fish in the ocean, and we caught all the fish we were allowed. It was a first class fishing experience. Captain Keys had all the right gear, in good condition, and all the right moves to keep us catching fish. He is a remarkable fisherman. His boat was very comfortable, up to date, clean, and pretty fast. He also saw to it that the weather was decent. Like I said, a remarkable Captain. Besides having an excellent time, we met a brother in Christ. It is always pleasant to spend time with other believers.I (we) would highly recommend KEYS TO THE OUTDOORS to anyone who would like a successful and memorable fishing trip. we will be back.
Great trip. Limited by shortly after noon.Shannon is exceptional. Knowledgeable, hard working, personable. Sincerely wants you to have a great experience and catch fish. Little details like bleeding and icing catch immediately, filleting and bagging your fish Is icing on the cake. You won’t be disappointed. We sang his praises all the way back to Florence! He even gave us his family marinade recipe!
